ELEMENT HUNTSVILLE SEASON 13 POLICIES
Dear Dance Families-
We are so excited to start Season 13 with more classes than ever before! We are thankful you are choosing to be a part of our studio family and we hope your dancer finds a strong sense of community within our classes. We have an incredibly committed, dedicated and talented team of teachers and office staff members that will do everything we can to make sure this experience is as positive, fun and educational as possible for our dancers!
We will be keeping some of the changes we implemented in Season 10 to our studio policies, so that we can continue to provide you the safest and best classes possible for your dancer!
*We are depending on all of our studio families to help us monitor each dancer and family member that comes into our building. By following the below guidelines, we are hoping to minimize the risk of illness to our dancers, staff members and family members! Thank you in advance for your support and assistance!
ARRIVAL/DANCER DROP OFF: Element is a drop off/pick up dance studio with a “backstage” waiting room area available for dancers to wait in prior to class. All dancers should enter through the FRONT door. PLEASE do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your dancer’s first class of the day and dancers should be pick up no later than 10 minutes after their class ends.
READY FOR CLASS: Please come dressed and ready for class. Please do not plan to use the dressing room at this time. There will be no outfit changes in between classes. Restrooms are available inside.
DROP OFF SPECIFICS: Please use the FRONT door for dancer drop off. Our backdoor is only used for emergencies and is not to be used as a drop off or pick up spot. If your dancer is under the age of 6, please walk them in and make sure he/she is settled before you leave. The first two weeks of preschool classes can be a little overwhelming to new dancers so we would love for parents to stay and make sure dancers are comfortable before they leave the lobby areas.
LOBBY AREA: To minimize the amount of people in our building, our lobby will be closed during classes and parents and siblings will not be able to wait in the lobby areas. We will have a front desk manager working during all classes if anyone needs to pay their bill with cash or check.
TEACHERS/ASSISTANTS: All classes with younger students in them will have both a teacher and an assistant(s) in the room at all times. If a parent is needed, the assistant will be able to get the dancer to the office manager who can then call the parent.
PICK UP: Please enter the parking lot from Old Big Cove Road and please circle the building to the right to exit back onto Old Big Cove Road or 431. Dancers in Preschool and Combo Classes will come to the lobby immediately following class and parents should walk up to the FRONT door covered area to pick up their dancer. PLEASE ONLY park in parking spaces in our parking lot and for the safety of our dancers, please do not park in front of our front door. If you have a dancer that is Level 1, 2, 3, Petite, Mini or Jr/Teen/Sr: you are welcome to circle the building and make a line for pick up and we will call dancers to the cars as we see you. If you would rather park and walk to meet your dancer, that is totally fine but please look for your dancer at the covered loading dock area outside of studio A. Our backdoor is only used for emergencies and is not to be used as a drop off or pick up spot.
WATER BOTTLES: Please make sure your dancer brings a water bottle to class with him/her. Our water fountain is not being used at this time. We have water bottles available for sale at the front desk.
FOOD/SNACKS: If any dancers are at the studio for a long amount of time, please make sure they have snacks in their dance bag. We will not have any tables open for dancers to eat “meals” and we request that they bring snacks for the long days that can be eaten in the room in between class times. We have snacks available for sale at the front desk.
HAIR TIES/BOBBY PINS: Please always make sure your dancer (especially an older dancer) has extra ponytail holders, bobby pins and hairspray in their bags at all times.
We will be also taking the following steps to help keep our studio as safe as possible:
Cleaning the studios
Studios and restrooms/dressing room areas will be cleaned routinely with disinfectants and/or fogged. Hand sanitizing stations will be located in each studio and throughout the building for dancers to use before and after class.
